Nicknamed "the Black Dahlia" with her jet-black hair, black dresses and exotic looks, small-town Massachusetts beauty queen Elizabeth Short went to Hollywood seeking stardom. In 1947, she was brutally murdered at age 22, her naked, mutilated body found hacked in two in a vacant lot.
This story always fascinated me and I've been meaning to do this piece for a while now. It ties in to my fav movie set though I didn't think the actual movie did her justice. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
